Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 19, 2026

Dugout IQ ("the App") is operated by Josh Pabst ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign in with Google or create an email account, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo. This is used solely to authenticate you and display your name within the App.

Team and player data: Coaches enter team names, player first names, jersey numbers, player ratings, position preferences, and at-bat results. This data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) and is only accessible to the coach who created the team and any assistant coaches they explicitly invite.

Device tokens: If you use the native iOS or Android app and grant notification permissions, we collect a push notification token to send you game-related alerts. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device settings.

Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the App (page views, feature usage, general device type). This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. We do not track your activity across other websites or apps.

Payment information: If you subscribe to Dugout IQ Pro, payment is processed by Stripe (on the web) or Apple/Google (in the native apps). We never see or store your credit card number, bank account, or full payment details. We only receive confirmation that a subscription is active.

How We Use Your Information

Information We Do NOT Collect

Who Can See Your Data

Coaches: Only the head coach and any assistant coaches they invite can see the full team roster, player ratings, and game data.

Parents: The parent portal shows first names, jersey numbers, at-bat results, and season statistics. It does not show player ratings, coach notes, or defensive assignments. The parent portal is accessed via a link that the coach shares — it is not publicly listed or searchable.

Scorers: A coach can generate a temporary scorer link (expires in 12 hours) that allows anyone to log at-bats for a specific game. Scorers see first names and jersey numbers only.

Data Storage and Security

All data is stored in Google Cloud (Firebase Firestore) with security rules that restrict access to authorized users only. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. We use Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in.

Children's Privacy

Dugout IQ is a tool for coaches, not for children. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Player data entered by coaches is limited to first names, jersey numbers, and game performance — no contact information, photos, or identifying details beyond what appears on a standard team roster handed out at any youth league.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete individual players, games, or entire teams at any time from within the App. If you want your entire account and all associated data deleted, email us at support@lineupman.com and we will process the request within 30 days.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Your Choices

Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
